Wither Hills Marlborough Chardonnay 2011
Something is wrong. Something is very wrong. Wither Hills Chardonnay has changed. It’s not just me, but it was also announced by a group of friends. This said group love Wither Hills. I also have a strong penchant for their single vineyard Pinot Noir.
The wine seems to have changed in the last couple of months, either that, or our palates have changed with the seasons. Gone is the full fruited wine and bring on the thin lack lustre. The citrus fruit characters are weak, the acid strong and the overall wine was out of balance.
I sincerely hope there’s a return to form as it’s a winner in the supermarket at $13.99!
