Villa Maria acquires two Hawke’s Bay wineries

Villa Maria, te awa, kidnapper cliffsNew Zealand wine industry has contracted further with Villa Maria having just announced that they have acquired two Hawke’s Bay wineries. They have bought Te awa and Kidnapper Cliffs from, American Billionaire, Julian Robertson. They take complete ownership of wineries and vineyards, and existing stock. Kidnapper Cliffs has been in operation since 2009, but Te awa have been making wine on the Gimblett gravels since 1992.

Villa Maria, who already own Esk Valley and Vidal, are the largest family owned winery in New Zealand.
