Twylah and Pinterest

It would appear that Pinterest is causing quite a stir, but less so is Twylah. So how can Pinterest and Twylah help your winery/wine brand or wine retail business?

Can and will it return anything on investment, or are you wasting your time?

Well the answer is far from clear at this point in time, but combined with other web platforms it’s just another focal point and link back to your website or advertising for your brand. The concept is straightforward with the onus being on the owner of the brand pinning their products on a virtual pin-board. Now this in itself isn’t going to attract much attention, let alone be a silver bullet, but garnered with social media tools and good understanding of how to use them it will create another link back to your brand.

Using Facebook, Google+ and Twitter you are able to post new pinned items to your followers.

Twyla is not too unlike Pinterest but doesn’t require any maintenance  once you’ve set up all of your links. It requires that you make content and post it to Twitter in order for it to aggregate your link content. Once it is up and running you do very little and it offers another portal for your wine/brand.

Using Pinterest for wine brandsLike with all of these tools the more you put in the more you get out!

The best examples of how to do Pinterest for a wine store and brand is Gary Vaynerchuk. Check him out here

Most importantly it’s free to use and adds another avenue to your brand.

Jayson’s roots in wine began when his father literally dragged him round France and injected his passion into him. From the age of 8 his family took month long holidays in France travelling through all regions and sampling their wine.
UnScrewed has reinvented the concept of wine tasting in New Zealand and along the way found a new and willing audience. In addition to encouraging straightforward wine tasting, Jayson educates viewers about the effects of regional factors (soil, sun, wind) on wine flavours, and how to buy wine.

    Thanks Jayson
Have been using Twylah for a while and get a bit of traffic from there (more from Twitter) and just recently started exploring Pinterest so will be interesting to see what benefits come from that!
    Cheers, JB
