The Label Project – Wine 2
The second wine, from the guys behind the label project, arrived in the same wooden box, but this time it was a red wine with beautiful selection of chocolates (of which I devoured nearly all in one sitting).
The dark plumb on the eye is brilliant. The nose is of tobacco, black doris plum, hint of spiced chocolate, and definitely some oak. The palate full fruited. Grippy with firm, youthful tannin, with a little heat at the end. The fruit is rich and ripe, without being cloying and over bearing, There’s good balance and bloody long finish with dry powdery tannin.
I would hazard a guess at it being a Syrah/Shiraz from the Barrossa Valley.
I’m really getting into the spirit of this project. It’s a great way to engage bloggers and the social media aspect is great. I hope this project is a success.
