Ngatarawa Glazebrook Noble Riesling 1994, Hawke’s Bay
· Written Wine ReviewsAug 31st, 2010 | By Jayson Bryant | Category: Written Wine Reviews
This is a favourite wine of mine from the winery of Ngatarawa (na-tara-wa) and this wine is no exception. The 2009 Noble Riesling won the Champion Dessert Wine Trophy at the 2010 Romeo Bragato Wine Awards in Blenheim.
1994 was the first release of the Ngatarawa Noble Riesling.
The aromas are of peach with honey dripped all over it, slight hint of oats but the length and structure of this 16 year old is incredible. The acid is present and the fruit voluptuous, considering this was the first ever vintage of this wine. Starting to feel a little tired but great nonetheless.
