Mountford Estate Liaison Pinot Noir 2009Mountford Pinot Noir

Although this wine is not estate grown, it comes from neighbouring vineyards, it doesn’t detract from the quality. Matured for 18 months in French oak barrels, and bottled unfiltered and unfined. Quite a masculine wine, with rich Doris plum colouring and powerfully rich palate.

Many people would consider $35 for a bottle of wine expensive, but when you’re saving $20 you’re getting a real bargain. Not the type of bargain that supermarkets tell you about, but a real saving of $20. Is it worth spending the money, you bet it is. Grab it whilst you can. Stick it under the house for when the time is ready to drink it, for it will keep for another 5+ years.
