I had the fortune to spend a few hours with the delightful Kevin Judd. Kevin was kind enough to show me the winery where he now makes Greywacke wines. He also showed, and talked me through, the vineyards of both Greywacke and Dog Point.

I felt very honoured to be in the company of such a pioneer. Kevin carved out his name at Cloudy Bay and has now established his own wine brand in 25 countries. Kevin first registered the brand of Greywacke back in 1993 and it took until 2008 for him to finally create his first vintage.

Greywacke wines are now considered some of the best wines to come from Marlborough, and on tasting them I’m sure you would agree. Here is the story of the man behind the wines and what makes them so good. In the next video we get to see the vineyards and the story of Marlborough.
