Borie de Maurel La Belle Aude 2012Borie de Maurel wines, minervois

In the fine tradition of the Minervois. This wine is made using biodynamics. The wine is made from Marsanne grapes, usually reserved for Rhone white wines. This could very easily be a top flight Rhone Marsanne. 10% is Muscat Petit Grain

It’s rich scented aromas seductively lead you into a very rich white wine. The palate is full and rounded. There aren’t any sharp edges. The fruit sits harmoniously with the racy acid. The fruit is citrus with crushed almond and hints of dried tobacco leaf. Ideally matched with cured meats, pork, or any kind of fish dish providing it’s not too spicy.
