Big Praise For Mount Fishtail Sauvignon Blanc

Big Praise For Mount Fishtail Sauvignon Blanc as British Columbia’s (BC) wine sales near $1 Billion. A recent article in the Vancouver Sun heaped praise on one of New Zealand’s lesser known Marlborough wineries.

Mount Fishtail Sauvignon Blanc was singled out in the article “ It’s hard to beat the value in the Mount Fishtail Sauvignon Blanc 2011 from Marlborough. Its fresh, juicy, slightly sweet and sour palate flecked with lemon peel, jalapeno, bell pepper, gooseberry, grapefruit flavours is fun to sip. Try it with mussels, clams or oysters. Good value.”

New Zealand wines command high prices in BC with sales at $23 million, just $1 Million behind the oddly combined Spain and Portugal category. With the world recession still in full swing these result are very promising.
